Furry Strawberries
“Oh the disappointment when you grab a punnet of strawberries and they’re covered in a furry grey mould. This fuzz is botrytis cinerea and also grows on grapes, particularly when it’s humid.
Vintage Update 2011
Bron and I were married on May 13th (in 1996). (Editor, I’m sure the year is right but I better check the date!). I remember standing at the altar with hands black from the red ferments, and that we postponed our honeymoon so I could get back to the winery and finish vintage. After the recent run of hot dry years I thought these days were gone, however vintage 2011 is shaping up to be similarly cool and late.
