Canada takes off

As the LCBO is essentially the only liquor retailer in Ontario, it is one of the largest buyers of wine in the world.  And our Cabernet was selected for the ‘General List’ which is the most widely available position in store.
So as you can imagine, we were interested to see what would happen, as they usually order up big!

I flew over to Canada in early May to visit during a major Australian promotion run by the LCBO in partnership with Wine Australia.  We visited stores for consumer and staff tastings – the plan was to introduce as many people as we could to our wine.  We certainly received great feedback and take-up of our beautiful wine.  Sales were tracking very well…  And then…
The reviews started! (See overleaf.)  And sales literally quadrupled!  
We have just learnt our humble Stone Dwellers 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon is currently sitting at number four for all new products with the LCBO.  What a result!

This is certainly testament to the Strathbogie Ranges and our team."
